U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded The Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro a $66,746 Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) grant to help local families make progress toward self-sufficiency.

WHAT IS THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY (FSS) PROGRAM?

The FSS program is a voluntary program that encourages innovative strategies that link housing assistance with a broad spectrum of services that will enable participating families to:

-find jobs
-increase earned income
-reduce or eliminate the need for rental/welfare assistance
-make progress toward achieving economic independence and housing self-sufficiency.
